Happy almost Halloween!!

I hope everybody had a great weekend and went to some kind of fun Halloween party. I went to a Halloween party with Ashley and my sister. It was a lot of fun. Before the party I spent the day trying to make costumes for the kids. Unfortunately, I can't sew and although I was trying tolearn it just was not working out as well as I had hoped plus I screwed it up when I cut everything out. Fortunately my mom is a rock star and saved my butt. I did do a little bit of the work but my mom really made it all come together. YAY MOM!!! I'll have pictures of the kids in their costumes later this week. We'll have a busy but fun Halloween. We are taking the kids to Fort Lewis for Trick-or-Treating. It will be great.

Oh, very important announcement...Laura has returned back to our house to watch the kids!!! Whoohoo!!!! I feel like the universe is back in alignment. She brings her baby, Kason, with her and Ethan is just thrilled about it. He really does love babies. He feeds him and holds him as much as possible. I'll have to get some pics of that.

Well, everyone have a fun and safe Halloween. Ciao.

Live!!!!

Hey guys! I know it has been awhile. I have been really bad about taking pictures lately. Shame on me. I'll work on that. As many of you know a huge tragedy struck here in Washington and 10 skydivers were killed in a plane accident last week. I was friends with one of the guys on the plane named Casey. We went to his memorial last week and although his closest friends and family have a long road ahead of healing and sorrow I am ready to move forward and learn what I can from my friendship with him. My first step is figuring out something I have never done before but want to and go do it. Casey always did what he wanted to do in life and his lifetime was not wasted. I have decided this week that I am not going to let my life pass me by. So now is the time to go out and live. The reason I am telling you all this is because I want all of you to figure out the things you want to accomplish in your life and do it. So, my first thing I want to do is spend as much time as I can with the people I love and care about. Unfortunately with everyone spread around the world it makes it a little harder, but I am going to do what I can. So, no longer is the answer to take care of things tomorrow, do it today because you don't know when tomorrow won't be there.

So, now that I have spouted off on my little rant I hope to see comments here about what you want to do but haven't yet.

I didn't really mean to go off on this little rant here, but I did. I really just meant to put up some more pics of the kids. So here they are:

Addie Pat

Sorry, no pics of Ethan right now. Soon though. I have had a rough couple of days and wanted to put up some fun happy pictures. I had hoped to be able to put up some happy Oktoberfest pics, but it doesn't look like we will be able to go this year due to an unforseen tragedy. Hopefully next year. Then maybe we'll have some fun pics of Addie there too. Well, I will work on getting some pics of Ethan up soon. Ciao.

Alaska

So, here's some of the pictures from Derek's trip to Alaska. It is the first time since our wedding in 2001 that Derek has been in the same place as his dad and brothers at the same time. It sounds like they had a great time. Alaska is beautiful and I hope you can see that in some of these pictures, although I know the pictures will never do it justice.
