We have to take more pictures

So, unfortunately Derek and I are really bad about taking pictures and since Ashley has left we have nothing new. I know that's horrible. I still wanted to put some new pictures up so here's a few from a few weeks ago.

Things here are pretty good. Addie is still working on walking but just not quite there. Lately she has learned that we hate it when she screams. So that's what she does when she's mad. It is not her cutest habit by any means. Hopefully she'll learn quickly that it won't be getting her very far. Unfortunately the best answer is to pick her up sometimes. What do you do?
We should be getting Ashley back at the end of August. We have definately noticed that she's gone. I can always find my hair dryer but I have to get the kids in the car by myself. Plus we don't have that one extra hand to do whatever needs doing. We do actually miss having her around. Once you get used to another person in the house it seems weird for them not to be there. I think she'll be coming at the end of August so she'll be able to come to the Dave Matthews concert with us. We already have a ticket for her she just needs to be here to use it.
I'll try and get some pictures between now and the time she gets back but there's no guarantee. Take care. I hope you are all having a good week.

All Hail Queen Laura!!

So, I hope you all like the new blog layout. Laura did it for me while the little ones were sleeping. She is such a rockstar. She's been taking pretty good care of us although she wants to make us as fat as her, by baking cookies, pretzels cupcakes and whatever she has an urge to make that day. Only we don't have the excuse of a seven month old little guy in our tummy. Evil nanny!! The girl can cook though, so I'm not really complaining.

I had to steal this picture of her from her blog. I thought it was cute though. But I thought I'd give some of you a visual of the girl we have watch our kids during the day. We have been very fortunate to have met her and are so excited for her and her soon to be expanded family. Anyway, I just wanted to share in my excitement of having a nanny who is craftier and artsier than I am!!! Craziness!!

I hope everyone has a great weekend. I'm not sure exactly what all we are doing but I am planning on going North to see my family. Its been a while so its about time. We seem to keep moving farther apart. Alisha is in Everett now, which sucks, but at least its not Arlington like she was considering. For those that don't know its another 1/2 hour away. But she's having a girly get together which should be awesome. Take care everyone.

Fun Pictures for You

Hey everyone!! So, last weekend was definately all about Harry Potter. Derek and I have both finished the last book and all I can say is WOW!!! I was definately not disappointed with it at all. The epilogue could have been a little more informative but on the other hand I realized it really didn't matter. I'm just nosy.

I am including a few pictures for you. First I am sending some pictures from Ethan's performance at Vacation Bible School. He would cry every morning when I would drop him off but he would have so much fun. So, they put on a performance for us and it was so cute. One of his teachers is also the church interpretor for sign language so in their performance they did a lot of sign language, which Ethan loved. He is a sign language super star. I wish I knew of a way for him to actually speak to people but I don't know anywhere that he can interact with deaf kids or anything. If anybody knows of anything please let me know. So, that's one of the pictures. Then I have some pictures of Ethan, Ashley and Addie all in their pajamas. The red pajamas Ashley has on are actually mine but she thought they would be fun to wear with Ethan. They were pretty cute. Then I just thought I'd throw in a couple of cute Addie Paddie pictures.
Ashley is leaving us tomorrow. So sad :( She is coming back before Labor Day to go to school out here. I'm very excited for her. It will be fun to have her out here. Well, have a good week. Happy Hump Day tomorrow. It's my favorite day of the work week.

Harry Potter

So, July is a big month for us Harry Potter fans. Not only did the 5th movie come out but the 7th and last book will be coming out this weekend. Derek has become an IMax snob and insists we see movies like Harry Potter on the IMax screen. It is a great way to see exciting movies like that. Unfortunately, the nearest IMax is all the way in Seattle so it is quite an event to go to it. It was a lot of fun though. We went with Ashley, along with Laura (the nanny), Alisha and Stacy. It was great. Addie was good through the movie although she kept getting excited and would yell and clap. Cute but not what the other viewers wanted to see.

So, here's the cover for the last book. So excited about that. Its possible that there will be some sad things going on with it. Hopefully it isn't any sadder than the last book. I'm guessing it will be. The first books were all fun and happy and they have slowly become more serious and stuff. It will be interesting.

Trip to the Beach

Today Alisha, Ashley and I took the kids to Ocean Shores. Derek was on-call so we decided it would be a great day for the girls to go to the beach with the kids. Ethan loved the water and playing in the sand while Addie just liked to eat the sand. She liked the water for about a second and then she was done. We decided to brave taking Gryff with us along with a friend's new puppy. It was great. Here are some pictures from the trip.

She'll be walking any day now

Maybe we can build a sand castle

but she thought she'd try it first to make sure

A towel is supposed to get wet, right?

It is much easier to walk two dogs in the movies

Hot Hot Heat!!!

So, it has been really warm here in Olympia. It may not be much compared to the rest of the world but for us its close to unbearable. I felt so bad for Ethan yesterday. Derek and I both work in extremely air-conditioned places so when we got home the heat just made us cranky and we could not get the house cooled down so Ethan was stuck with two horribly cranky parents with very little patience. Poor kid. We all just went to bed early and tried to think cool.

Because it was sooooooo hot here and we were anticipating it we bought a little kiddie pool for Addie to play in. She liked walking around the pool but did not like getting her little bottom wet. Here are some pictures of the pool adventure that Ashley took.

More pictures

I have some new pictures to put up from Derek's camping trip and my trip to the beach. I hope that everyone's week is going well so far. Its hump day which is my favorite day of the week. Today we are supposed to have some record breaking weather. I sent Derek to the store yesterday to get a little pool for Addie to play in so that she doesn't over heat. Ethan will play in the sprinkler all day long if we let him. Hopefully everybody won't melt
today.

T-Ball season

So, I just got all of these pictures from Ethan's T-ball season. One of the other mom's on the team took tons of pictures and then sold us a CD with all the pictures on it. It has some great pictures on it so I thought I would put them up. I hope you enjoy them. The pictures are definately cute, its just too bad Ethan didn't enjoy playing more than he did. I guess we're back to soccer in August.

Fun weekend

So, hopefully you all had a great weekend, because we did. As I said before my mom took me and Alisha to Ocean Shores. We had a blast. We gambled, played on the beach and just hung out with the girls. It was a much needed getaway for mom. I didn't realize that Ocean Shores was so close to home. I think I may take the kids there next week since Derek will be on call.

Since I was leaving Derek decided to take Ash and the kids on an overnight camping trip in one of our many national forests. They hiked and camped and had a blast. They got back a few hours ago covered in dirt. They were pretty darn cute all dirty like that. So, I have some pictures for you of their trip along with a couple from July 4th. Have a great week everyone.

Happy weekend!!

Hey guys! No pictures today. Probably on Monday. I hope you all had a great week. I love having Wednesday off and I wish we could do that every week. Thursday was like having a new Monday, but having a Monday the day before Friday is awesome.

I am ditching the family for 24 hours this weekend. My mom and my sister are taking me to Ocean Shores tomorrow. I told my mom that I wanted to do something with just us girls since we haven't done that in so long so this is what my mom and sister came up with. It should be a lot of fun and I heard a crazy rumor that alcohol will be involved in the fun. You can't beat a good margarita. So, between Derek and ashley they shold be good watching the kids for a little bit. I always seem to be more appreciated after ditching out for a little bit.

Anyway, Ashley has gotten ahold of my camera and loves to take pictures so hopefully I'll have lots of good pics to put up in the coming weeks. If we can talk her into staying out here for school we should get lots of good pics. We'll see what happens. Well, have a great weekend and keep your eyes open for some new pics. Love ya!!

Happy 4th of July

I hope everyone has been doing well and I hope you all have great plans to celebrate our wonderful country's independance. I think we will go to Ft. Lewis and see the fireworks there. They put on a pretty good show.
So, right now we have Ashley out here. Yay!! We are working hard at trying to convince her to go to school out here. It would be so much fun, plus then Debby would have to come visit. We always have an angle. Haha! So here's some pictures that Ashley took of Addie. She's been standing up for several seconds at a time now. I'll have some pictures from Ethan's trip to the kangaroo zoo last weekend hopefully. Take care everyone.
