Ohio

So, it sounds like everyone is having a blast in Ohio. I asked for a few pictures and they sent me a whole bunch. Whoohoo!! The house is so quiet with everyone gone and I think I call Derek about 50 times a day just to see what they are all doing. I am so lame. Anyway, here are a few pictures of the kids. They had another birthday party for Addie and she got her very own sesame street smoosh cake.

All by myself

So what is a mommy to do when she has no family. I should go out and live it up but no, I'm sitting at home trying to figure out what I can do and now my kitchen is beautiful. Hopefully the whole house is beautiful by the time they all get back. It sounds like the kids are having a blast and everyone is enjoying them being around. Ethan's cousins Henry and Kiki are also there. They haven't all been in Ohio for more than a couple of hours together ever so it's a pretty cool experience. Derek gets to spend time with his family and friends who he hardly ever gets to see. He got to go out tonight and play, which is a rare treat for us. I think I'll go out next weekend. We'll see.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

Paint Ball

We went paintballing on Saturday. It was so much fun. I fell on my face and looked like crap afterward with funky oil stuff all in my hair and all over my clothes, but it was awesome. We went to an indoor arena in Everett. The place was rented out for us so it was only people we knew so there were no random brats running around trying to kill everybody. Derek thought it was funny to shoot me in the butt. So, we got some fun pictures so here they are...

Birthday Party

So, as of tomorrow I will have a 1 year old. I thought for sure by now they would have some kind of age stopping formula so that we can enjoy the babies just a little longer. So, on Saturday we had a little birthday gathering for miss Addie Paddie!! She ate some spaghetti, opened presents and then ate cake. I included a couple of videos. One is of her on one of her toys and the other is of her eating cake. I've got lots of pictures to include for you.

Yummy Spaghetti!!

He can touch the ceilingIsn't the cake pretty???She can get every last bite and then lick the plate cleanUncle Jack looks great in a party hat!!

Ethan is showing his little sister how to use her toyShe has a better ideaTime to clean up the mess

Cabela's has arrived!!

So, Cabela's has finally opened in Lacey!! We tried to stay away through the weekend because so many people were there, but Sunday night we broke down and went to check it out. People came from all over and many traveled hundreds of miles. A little silly for a department store if you ask me, but to each there own. It was kinda funny watching people. I saw several people all decked out in their perfectly clean, unused hunting gear, as if it were the uniform to shop there. Don't get me wrong, I totally understand that people go there before and after a hunting trip totally decked out, but come on. Ethan and I hid in the hunting blinds so that Derek couldn't see us, because we were camoflauged. Kinda fun. Then we went to the cafe and ate a buffalo burger. They had all sorts of different meats in their deli. Everything from buffalo to ostrich. I think there were at least 8-10 different kinds of meat that were not chicken, beef or pork. They have a boat shop inside the store with at least 10 different boats inside. I think I had the store built up a little bit in my mind having pretty much watched it get built, but all in all it is pretty impressive.

Kids like to eat

Here's some silly food pictures of the kids.

Pigtail girl

So, Laura couldn't stand it anymore and put pigtails in Addie's hair. They make her look like a bug with antennas but they are so darn cute. Addie was so darn proud of herself. I am also including a picture of Ethan. I had the horns for Halloween and he went to sleep like this.

What to do with no power!!!

So, we lost power today for a little bit from the wind, so Laura and the kids made a fort. I miss the days when making a fort was the most exciting thing ever.

Bath Time

Here's the pictures I was working on. Bath pictures are always so darn cute.

Happy Humpday!!

I took some pictures over the past couple of days and thought I should share. I'm working on a little project with bath pictures and didn't want to share all the pictures yet. I'll put them up soon. Super cute. Addie is down there eating chocolate chip pancakes. Yummy!!

More silly pictures

Hey guys here are some pictures from the past few days. Things here have been good. I got to go on a little retreat with my mom, sister, aunt and a friend of ours. It was great just hanging out with the girls for 24 hours. Then we came straight back to reality and that was great too. Right now we are all sick. I'm almost better, Derek has been better for about a week, Ethan is in the middle of it and it seems as though Ashley may be getting it. I hope that Addie is resilient enough to stay healthy. Kids are so strange when they are sick. Before tylenol they are all sweet and cuddly and calm and then the tylenol kicks in and its as though all the energy they haven't had comes out at one time and they are crazy. Or maybe that's just Ethan. Hopefully we'll all be well and healthy soon. I've been trying to force feed Ashley dayquil, hoping it never hits her too hard. I think the nighttime fevers are the worst of the whole sickness because you just sleep like crap. I hope all of you are feeling well and staying away from all the crud going around. Make sure to get your flu shots. I used to refuse to get them but now that they no longer use live vaccines in the shots I have avoided the flu many times when it has gone through my own house. Drink lots of water.

Hopefully I can get these videos to work...

Happy halloween!!!!

Hello again!! I have some pictures from last night to share. The kids were so cute in their costumes. Thanks mom so much for helping me make it happen. We got to visit a friend of ours who was visiting from san Antonio and her and her mom fed us some awesome Korean food so that we would have some sustenance for trick or treating then we headed over to Fort Lewis to go trick or treating. Ethan did quite well and now begins the battle about how much candy he can eat. The kids also went to a little Halloween party hosted by the housing office on post. They had a costume contest and some food and games. The costume contest was a little weird and strange costumes won. I am amazed at how few people make costumes anymore. I need to work hard this year to learn how to sew so that I can start making the costumes. I can only handle seeing so many stuffed animals, disney princesses and super heroes. I'm guessing Addie will be a clown for several years. Notice Ethan's shoes in the pictures. We put his own converse on and then put mine over top of them so that he had big clown feet. Once again, thanks mom for the idea. Everything worked out great.

Laura's back with the Baby!!!

I know she's been back for a few days but I thought I would put up a few pictures of her and the kids. Like I said before...Yay, the universe is back in alignment. We've already got cookies, laundry done, a clean house, and just the comfort of knowing we like what goes on in our house with the kids. Whoohoo!!! Here's the pictures:

I wish this video were a picture. It is Addie signing I love you, although I don't think it was intentional, but I thought it was cute anyway. It is really short and not all that interesting otherwise.
